Members' Support Scheme
Our membership is classified into two categories
1. Active members and
2. Passive members
Active members are those who pay their monthly contributions, attend all meetings (except otherwise) and participate in all activities. On the other hand, passive members are those who do not pay their monthly contribution, attend meetings less frequently and rarely participate in general activities.
Support for active members:
- Marriages, the birth of a child, engagement parties and any other gathering celebrating success and achievement:
- Funerals of very close ones (brother, sister, mother, father, child).
- Contributing Members will be entitled to the following amounts, in case of the following events:
- At the death of a member, the group will make a substantial contribution.
- Amounts to be contributed toward marriage, the birth of a child, engagement parties, the celebration of success (like graduation), loss of close relatives like parents and sibling are all outlined in the constitution of the group. Refer to the group's constitution for more details.
Support to non-active members:
The TACC Friend UK group will make a decision about non-contributing or partially contributing members when faced with any of the situations mentioned above. In making the decision about the individual, the group will consider their personal circumstances, their commitment to the group and whether they chose not to contribute in the past or it was due to financial difficulty. No matter what decision is finally arrived at, the amount the individual receives cannot be above that which a contributing member is entitled to. It is also important that non-members know that the group can choose to give the individual nothing after considering the criteria above. The token will be a privilege, not a right.
