TACC Friends UK has a mandated to reach out to the TACC community in Cameroon and the world at large.
The first meeting was held in Brother Goodwill’s House in Brixton. Since then, the group has grown from strength to strength and has inspired the creation of similar groups in the United States of America, Thailand, Canada and Europe.
The first meetings mainly involved members in London, but soon extended beyond London, to Basingstoke, Leicester and today we have members as far as Plymouth and Scotland. This group has so far supported members who went through difficulties in the UK. It has provided, books, medical equipment and sewing machines to support the less privileged in Cameroon. It has donated a projector to a Saturday School in a deprived area in the UK.
Close to 10 children have been sponsored in one way or the other in Cameroon, throughout the years. With 6 students currently being sponsored in Universities and Nursing Colleges in Cameroon, we hope to increase this number.
Members meet together quarterly in different locations each time. These meetings have also become very popular as people travel far and wide with their families to attend. These meetings usually futures fellowshipping with each other and to deliberations on different strategies to promote the Kingdom of God, support each other and support the less privileged in the UK and in Africa.
